Very few things in nature compare to the natural beauty of wood. Each ring has it's own unique pattern and grain. Even the colors can vary from piece to piece. Every ring from Cracked Woodturning is truly one of a kind. Combine that with a custom inlay or engraving and you will have a ring that compliments your own individuality.
Wood turned rings are approximately 2.8 to 3.2mm thick and available in 2 widths, 7.5-8.5mm and 5.5 to 6.5mm. Inlay width is made to order. Standard inlay width is typically about 1/3rd of the overall width.

Spalted Maple is Maple lumber with unique patterns caused by fungal colonization (spalting). It features striking, dark, intricate "zone lines" and areas of contrasting color (white, grey, or yellow) against the light maple background. While the process reduces structural integrity, it is highly prized by artisans for its natural, unpredictable beauty, making it a favorite for turning blanks, veneers, and musical instrument tops.

It is defined by unique, decorative dark zone lines and areas of bleaching or color variation. While the process reduces the wood's strength, it is highly valued for its striking appearance and is used primarily for decorative accents, turning blanks, and small ornamental objects

Ironwood is a blanket term for various ultra-dense hardwoods (like Ipe, Lignum Vitae, or Desert Ironwood) primarily from tropical regions. It is globally recognized as one of the hardest, heaviest, and strongest woods on Earth, often with a very high Janka hardness rating. It typically features dark brown to olive-green or reddish-brown coloration. Its extreme density makes it exceptionally resistant to rot, insects, and decay, making it the top choice for heavy-duty exterior construction, decking (boardwalks), tool handles, and small, highly durable decorative items. It is often difficult to work with due to its density.

Padauk is an exotic African or Asian hardwood famous for its vibrant reddish-orange to vermilion color when freshly cut. It is a strong, dense, and durable wood highly favored for high-end furniture, musical instruments (due to its acoustic properties), and decorative turning. The color will naturally darken over time due to UV light and oxidation, mellowing into a rich, darker reddish-brown.
